This Cookie Policy explains how Sonorous Zen uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, sign in to your dashboard, open a smart link, or interact with any other part of our Platform. It's written as a companion to our Privacy Policy, so if you haven't read that yet, we recommend starting there.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device when you visit. They help the site recognize you on return visits, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and collect information about how the site is being used. Alongside cookies, we also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, and tags. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" throughout this page.
Cookies can be either first-party (set directly by Sonorous Zen) or third-party (set by services we work with, such as Stripe or analytics providers). They can also be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.
Sonorous Zen uses cookies for a few focused reasons, not for surveillance or profiling. Specifically, cookies help us:
Keep you signed in to your account as you move between pages, instead of asking for your password on every click.
Remember your preferences, including your chosen language (English or Burmese), your theme (light or dark mode), and any UI settings you've configured.
Operate core features safely, such as payment flows, KYC verification, and withdrawal requests from your Wallet.
Measure how well our tools are performing, such as how many people open a smart link, click through a fan blast email, or complete a checkout.
Detect fraud, abuse, and suspicious behavior across the Platform.
Improve the product over time by understanding which features are used, what's working, and where we can do better.
Some cookies are short-lived and disappear the moment you close your browser. Others last for a set period, from a few days up to about two years, unless you delete them manually. We don't use cookies to track you across unrelated third-party websites, and we never sell your cookie data.
Below is a plain-language summary of the categories of cookies we use. We may add or adjust specific cookies from time to time as our product evolves, but the categories below describe what we do and why.
Authentication and session cookies. These keep you signed in to your Sonorous Zen dashboard while you work, remember your device between visits, and protect your session from being hijacked. They are essential. Without them, the Platform cannot work.
Security and fraud-prevention cookies. These help us detect unusual login patterns, protect against automated attacks, and flag suspicious activity on the Wallet and payout flows. They are essential.
Preference cookies. These remember small things that make the dashboard feel like yours, such as your language choice between English and Burmese, your light or dark mode selection, and other UI state. English is always the default and is only changed when you explicitly switch languages from the header.
Onboarding and form cookies. When you're filling out a release, configuring a royalty split, setting up KYC, submitting a support ticket, or completing any multi-step workflow, we may temporarily store partial progress so you don't lose work if you refresh the page or navigate away.
Smart link and fan engagement cookies. When fans open your smart links, pre-save pages, or public artist pages, we use cookies to deduplicate visits, attribute engagement to the right release, and produce the analytics shown in your Audience and Analytics dashboards. We track aggregate behavior, not individual identities, for fan traffic.
Fan Blast and email campaign cookies. When a fan opens one of your broadcast emails or clicks a link inside it, related cookies help us report delivery and engagement back to you inside the Fan Blast dashboard.
Analytics cookies. We use first-party analytics to understand which features are being used on the Platform (for example, which pages Creators open, how long sessions last, and where errors occur). This helps us prioritize improvements and fix issues. These analytics are aggregated and are not used to build individual profiles.
Payment and Stripe cookies. When you subscribe, pay for AI Mastering, license a cover song, or use any paid feature, Stripe (our payment processor) sets its own cookies inside its checkout to support fraud prevention, 3-D Secure authentication, and session handling. We don't see your card details — Stripe handles that directly.
In addition to our own cookies, the following third-party services may set cookies when you use Sonorous Zen. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.
Stripe, our payment processor, for subscription checkout, payment security, and 3-D Secure.
ACRCloud, for audio fingerprinting used by our Audio Recognition and AI Scan features. Cookies from ACRCloud may be involved only when you actively use these tools.
Spotify and Deezer APIs, for metadata enrichment during release searches and smart link generation.
Trusted email delivery and SMTP providers that we use to send transactional emails, password resets, and opt-in fan campaigns.
Analytics and error-monitoring providers used to keep the Platform stable and to diagnose bugs.
If any of these providers change, we'll update this list. We do not currently run ad networks on Sonorous Zen, and we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you.
In-browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies, delete existing cookies, or block cookies from specific domains. Your browser's "Help" or "Settings" section explains how. Keep in mind that blocking essential cookies (authentication, security, and preferences) will prevent core Sonorous Zen features from working — you may not be able to sign in, stay signed in, or complete withdrawals.
Consent banner. Where required by law in your region, we show a cookie consent banner on first visit so you can accept or customize non-essential cookies. Essential cookies (authentication, security, payment, fraud prevention) are always active because the service cannot function without them.
Opt out of fan-email tracking. Fans who receive emails through Fan Blast or campaign tools can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email to stop future messages and tracking.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our Platform evolves or as the law changes. When we make material updates, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where required, notify you through an in-app notice or email. Minor changes such as clarifications or typo fixes may be published without notice.
