These Terms of Use cover your general use of the Sonorous Zen website, dashboard, and mobile experience, whether you're a registered Creator, a Collaborator invited by someone else, a fan opening a smart link, or just browsing the site to learn about what we do.
If you are a registered Creator distributing music through Sonorous Zen, our Terms of Service is the primary contract that governs your commercial relationship with us, including subscriptions, royalty handling, wallet payouts, releases, and distribution. These Terms of Use are additional, not a replacement. When a topic is covered in both, the Terms of Service controls.
By accessing or using any part of Sonorous Zen, you agree to these Terms of Use, along with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Anti-Fraud Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.
Sonorous Zen is intended for individuals who are legally able to form a binding agreement. You must be at least 16 years old to register for a Creator account. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use Sonorous Zen with the verified consent of a parent or legal guardian, who will be the contracting party. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16, and we reserve the right to require age verification at any time.
Sonorous Zen is a creator platform for music professionals. Depending on your role and plan, the Platform may let you upload and distribute releases to Digital Service Providers, manage royalty splits with collaborators, track analytics, run fan campaigns, create smart links, verify your identity (KYC), withdraw earnings from your Wallet, and access tools like AI Mastering, LRC Maker, Cover Song Licensing, and the Promo Studio. Some features are available to all users, and some require a specific subscription tier. We may add, remove, or change features at any time at our discretion.
When you use Sonorous Zen, you agree to behave respectfully and lawfully. In particular, you agree that you will not:
Use the Platform for any purpose that is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
Upload, submit, or share content that you do not own or have written permission to use, including music, artwork, lyrics, videos, or metadata.
Upload content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexually explicit without proper flagging, obscene, misleading, or designed to impersonate another person or brand.
Use smart links, pre-saves, fan blasts, or public artist pages to redirect to unrelated websites, malware, affiliate schemes, pornographic content, or anything other than your own music and creative work.
Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, decompile, scrape, mirror, frame, or redistribute any part of the Platform or its underlying technology.
Circumvent security measures, rate limits, access controls, or permission gates that protect the Platform or other users.
Generate, facilitate, or benefit from artificial, automated, bot-driven, incentivized, or otherwise fraudulent streaming, downloads, or engagement on any DSP. This is treated as a serious violation under our Anti-Fraud Policy, and we enforce it strictly.
Submit false identity documents, false payout information, or false metadata.
Share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties, or let anyone else act under your account without the proper collaborator or team permissions set inside the Platform.
Upload private or confidential information about any third party without their permission.
Use any Sonorous Zen tool to send spam, unsolicited promotional content, or messages that violate applicable communications or anti-spam laws.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations, remove or restrict content, suspend or terminate accounts, and take any other action we believe is appropriate to protect the Platform, our users, our partners, and the public.
To use most features, you need to register an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide during signup, KYC verification, payout setup, and day-to-day use of the Platform. You're also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it. If you suspect unauthorized use, notify us immediately at support@sonorouszen.com.
You agree to log out at the end of sessions on shared devices, keep your credentials secure, and use Sonorous Zen's built-in team permissions or collaborator features rather than sharing passwords when you need someone else to help.
We may disable any username, password, or account at our discretion, particularly where we reasonably believe these Terms or our other policies have been violated.
You retain ownership of the Creator Content you upload. By uploading content to Sonorous Zen, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, process, transcode, reformat, and transmit that content to the DSPs and territories you select, and to otherwise provide the Service to you. This license exists only to operate Sonorous Zen on your behalf — we do not claim any ownership of your music, artwork, lyrics, or recordings.
You confirm that you own or control all rights in the Creator Content you upload (or have documented permission from the rights-holders), that the content does not infringe any third party's rights, and that all metadata, songwriter credits, and royalty splits you provide are accurate. You are solely responsible for clearing any samples, covers, features, or third-party material before distributing a release.
The Platform itself — including the Sonorous Zen name, logo, software, interface design, layouts, copy, graphics, icons, and the selection and arrangement of features — is owned by Sonorous Zen LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms of Use transfers any part of our intellectual property to you. You may not use our name, logos, or branding without our prior written permission, except where doing so is part of your normal use of the Platform (for example, your release page showing "Distributed via Sonorous Zen" where we render that automatically).
Sonorous Zen may include links to third-party websites, services, and integrations — for example, DSP dashboards, social platforms, or payment providers like Stripe. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you should review them before connecting an integration.
When you use Sonorous Zen to create public-facing content — such as smart links, pre-save pages, public artist profiles, or fan broadcast emails — you are responsible for what those pages display and where they redirect. We may remove or disable any public-facing content that violates these Terms, our policies, or applicable law, without prior notice.
For fan-facing communications, you must comply with applicable email, SMS, and data-privacy laws, including anti-spam regulations (such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR). Sonorous Zen provides tools to help, but you remain the sender and the legally responsible party for the messages you send.
We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue any feature of Sonorous Zen at any time, with or without notice. While we try to communicate major changes in advance, we are not liable if any part of the Platform is temporarily unavailable. We also reserve the right to change the design, layout, or presentation of the Platform as we continue to improve it.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective Date" above and, for material changes, give you at least 30 days' advance notice by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of Sonorous Zen after an update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please stop using the Platform before the effective date.
Sonorous Zen is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep everything stable, secure, and accurate, we cannot guarantee that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, fully error-free, or perfectly suited to every individual need. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of third-party content such as DSP data.
To the extent permitted by law, Sonorous Zen, its affiliates, and its service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profit, revenue, reputation, goodwill, or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. Our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or related to your use of the Platform is limited to the total amount of fees you paid to Sonorous Zen in the 12 months immediately before the event that gave rise to the claim.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Sonorous Zen, our affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents harmless from any claim, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Platform, (b) the content you upload or publish through Sonorous Zen, (c) your violation of these Terms of Use or any applicable law, or (d) your violation of the rights of any third party.
You may stop using Sonorous Zen at any time. If you hold a registered Creator account, the termination process described in our Terms of Service applies, including takedowns, outstanding balances, and Wallet handling.
We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms of Use, our Terms of Service, our Anti-Fraud Policy, or applicable law, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Platform, our users, or third parties. Sections intended by their nature to survive termination — including intellectual property, fraud obligations, indemnification, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws applicable to Sonorous Zen LLC's operations in Asia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 60 days, it will be resolved by binding arbitration under the WIPO Arbitration Rules by a sole arbitrator, conducted in English.
